Pyongyang, North Korea | 55-year old retired NBA star and friend of Kim Jong-un, Dennis Rodman, announced his wedding to the dictator’s 29-year-old sister, Kim Yo Jong, in a press conference held this morning.
The former basketball star says he has been having a secret affair with Ms Yo-jong for years, who was recently elected as a member of the powerful Central Committee in North Korea, and that he had has obtained the President’s approval to marry his beloved sister.
“I’m extremely happy, I have finally found the love of my life,” Mr. Rodman told reporters. “I have found a new family here with Yo and Jong, and I’m finally happy like I have never been before. For me, Yo-Jong is like an angel and North Korea is like Heaven! I have finally found what I had been looking for.”
Rumors about the wedding of Kim Yo Jong have drawn a lot of attention in the media over the last few days and may have accelerated the decision to announce the wedding.
According to South Korean newspaper The Chosun Ilbo, Miss Yo-jong takes charge of propaganda, as well as promotions and appointments for Kim Jong-un.
She is also said to have played a part in the friendship between her brother and Dennis Rodman, and today’s announcement clearly seems to confirm this claim.
