LAS VEGAS | A man who called for a hooker to come to his hotel room said he had a panic attack when he answered the door to his own daughter.
Married father-of-three, Mr. Titus said he was having marital problems and went to LA to blow off steam, but collapsed to the floor with shock while his daughter, 20, fled the hotel in tears.
“I have never gotten a prostitute in my life,” Mr.Titus told reporters. “I swear to Christ. What are the odds it was my own flesh and blood that showed up? I think this is Lord’s way of bitch-slapping me.”
His daughter, who he hadn’t seen in months, fled the room upon recognizing her father. Once he had recovered from the initial shock, he found his daughter crying in a casino bar.
“I told them I was sorry for what I done did,” the upset father said. “I apologized for my actions and said I just want my family whole again. My daughter and I have patched up our relationship. My marital problems are not over, but we have a wonderful counselor who is helping us to get over this most difficult period.”
Mr. Titus lost touch with his daughter when she disappeared from the family home eight months ago.
“I used to just spank on my wife and daughter,” Mr. Titus said. “I was too tough on them. I just wanted my daughter to get scholarships in high school. I shouldn’t have forced her. Everything is my fault.”
His wife Rosemary said: “If it were not for my children, I could have divorced him a long time ago. But because of the trauma that divorce has on children, I decided to stay.”
