HOLLYWOOD – Kerry Washington, who recently gave birth to Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha with husband and former NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha, has quit the hit show Scandal amid cheating rumors. Washington has been the center of several rumors involving her daughter, and if the baby is truly her husbands.
“This is a terrible situation, I am proud of Kerry for having the courage in stepping down from her role, but we are going to have a tough task finding a replacement who can bring more class and righteousness to this beloved character. I don’t understand how Kerry could go from this wholesome actress playing this virtuous feminine role, to being engulfed in these unfortunate allegations.”
Show creator Shonda Rhimes said during a press conference Thursday evening.
Kerry Washington’s close friend, who goes by the name R. Polanski, recently confirmed to the media that the star will not be returning to the show. Citing reasons of “moral disappointment, shame, dishonor and disgrace” within herself; attributes of which she stated she previously never came in touch with, in or out of her roles.
