NEW JERSEY – Police are asking the person who was expecting 50 pounds of marijuana in the mail to come claim the package.

Police responded to a home where the owner claimed they had received several packages addressed to somebody who didn’t live there. Officers opened the boxes and found about 50 pounds of marijuana. The department seized the marijuana, which is worth about $100,000.

Officers wrote in a Facebook post, “If you were expecting these packages and would like to claim them, please come to Police Headquarters.”

State and federal agencies are investigating who sent or who was meant to receive the marijuana.
